Analog Way OPT MDR4K DANTE
The OPT-MDR4K-DANTE is the audio expansion card for Analog Way's Midra 4K series, and it is what turns one of those switchers into a proper node on a show's audio network. It carries 32x32 channels of Dante at 48 kHz on dual Ethernet ports with redundancy, so audio de-embedded from any source can be routed straight onto the Dante network for the audio operator to work with, and processed audio coming back from an external console or processor can be re-embedded onto the outputs heading to the displays.
Alongside the network ports it adds analog I/O: two stereo line inputs and two stereo line outputs on 3.5 mm mini-jacks, for the playback laptop or the powered speaker that is not on the network. The card fits the whole Midra 4K family, which is the Eikos 4K, Pulse 4K, QuickMatrix 4K and QuickVu 4K, and it is the option those units mean when their spec sheets refer to optional Dante audio networking.
