Analog Way EKS-4K Presentation Switcher

The Eikos 4K is the top of Analog Way's Midra 4K line and the one member of the family that blends. Ten seamless inputs feed it, eight of them 4K60 on four HDMI 2.0, two 12G-SDI and two DisplayPort 1.2 connectors, plus two 1080p inputs you can take on HDMI or 3G-SDI. Two 4K60 program outputs carry mirrored 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 plugs and can be run three ways: as a single hard or soft edge-blended canvas across both, as two independent programs, or as one program plus an AUX feed for a confidence monitor or a stream encoder.

Processing is 10-bit 4:4:4 with 16 ms of latency at 60 Hz, so a keynote cut lands on the screen without the lag operators notice from the front of house. In mixer and edge-blend mode you get a live or still background, two mixing 4K layers (or four split layers), and a foreground image layer on top. HDR10 and HLG are handled with built-in SDR/HDR converters, HDCP 1.4 and 2.2 pass through, and a dedicated multiviewer with resizable clock, countdown and timer widgets runs up to 2560x1600. It is a 2RU chassis, and the Dante option card adds 32x32 audio networking when the show is on an audio network.
