Yamaha VS Series Surface Mount Loudspeaker

VS Series are the small surface-mount boxes for background music and paging, the ones that go on a wall in a restaurant, a retail floor, or a covered patio. Each is a rectangular HIPS enclosure with a cone driver and a 1-inch balanced dome tweeter, rated IPX3 splash proof under IEC60529, so an outdoor run under an eave is within spec.

Wiring is flexible: a barrier strip on the back carries transformer taps for both 70V and 100V distributed lines, or the speaker can be run at 8 ohms low impedance on a conventional amplifier. The VS4 covers 100 Hz to 20 kHz with a 110 degree pattern and takes 30 W program; the VS6 goes to 80 Hz with a 90 degree pattern at 50 W program. Both ship as a packaged pair with a U-bracket, retaining knob, and terminal cover.
