Sennheiser MM 435 Dynamic Cardioid Capsule Head
The MM 435 is the MD 435 wired studio capsule made available as a screw-on head, so the same voice a singer knows from the wired microphone follows them onto a wireless handheld. It fits Sennheiser's standard capsule interface, which covers evolution wireless G4, the 2000 Series, Digital 6000 and Digital 9000 transmitters.
The reason to spend this much on a dynamic head is the noise floor and the headroom together: 17 dB(A) equivalent noise with 163 dB max SPL gives 146 dB(A) of dynamic range, which is why it survives a screamed chorus and still resolves a quiet verse. The pattern is cardioid, response runs 40 to 20,000 Hz, sensitivity is 1.8 mV/Pa into 245 ohms, and the head is 51 mm across, 72.5 mm long and 119 g.
