Sennheiser e815S Handheld Vocal Microphone
The e 815 S is the entry point to Sennheiser's evolution vocal line, a dynamic cardioid handheld built for singers and speakers who want a rugged, no-fuss stage mic. The cardioid pattern focuses on the voice in front of the capsule and rejects sound arriving from the sides and rear, which helps control feedback and keeps stage spill and monitor bleed out of the mix. A shock-mounted cartridge and a humbucking coil hold down handling thumps and electrical hum so the audience hears the voice cleanly.
The metal body takes the knocks of nightly use, and an on/off switch (the S in the name) lets a performer or presenter mute at the mic. It is a dynamic capsule, so it needs no phantom power and simply plugs into any mixer or PA channel over a balanced XLR-3 cable.
