Sennheiser AVX-ME2 SET-4 Wireless Lavalier On-Camera Receiver System

The AVX-ME2 SET-4 is Sennheiser's on-camera lavalier wireless set, built to work out of the box with pro camcorders and DSLR cameras. An SK AVX bodypack carries the ME 2 clip-on lavalier, an omnidirectional condenser that mounts close and stays out of frame, while the plug-on EKP AVX receiver drops into the camera's XLR input. Automatic frequency management picks a clean channel at power-up and license-free operation in the 1.9 GHz band means no coordination and no user fees.

The receiver switches on and off with the camera's P48 phantom power, and for DSLR work the included EKP AVX adapter and CI 400 cable adapt the output. AES 256 encryption protects the signal, and 24-bit / 48 kHz transmission at about 19 ms latency keeps the interview audio clean and in sync. In the metal-housed kit: the EKP AVX receiver, SK AVX bodypack, ME 2 lavalier, two rechargeable batteries (BA 20 and BA 30), the EKP AVX adapter, NT 5-10U power supply, CI 400 cable, and a bag.
