Lewitt LCT 440 PURE Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The LCT 440 PURE strips a studio condenser down to the part that matters: a 1-inch externally polarized capsule in a fixed cardioid pattern, with no pads, filters, or pattern switches to get in the way. Self noise sits at 7 dB(A) and the microphone handles 140 dBSPL before 0.5% distortion, which covers everything from a whispered voiceover to a guitar cabinet.
Sensitivity is 27.4 mV/Pa into a 110 ohm output on a gold-plated 3-pin XLR, so it drives a preamp cleanly without needing a lot of gain. The microphone ships with a shock mount, a magnetic pop filter that clips straight onto the mount, a foam windscreen, and a transport bag.
