Lewitt LCT 540 S Subzero Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone
The LCT 540 S pairs a 25.4 mm externally polarized capsule with a 3 micron gold-sputtered Mylar diaphragm and a circuit that measures 4 dB(A) of self noise. In practice that means the microphone contributes essentially nothing to a close vocal take, and quiet sources such as fingerpicked guitar or brushed snare come back with detail rather than hiss.
The cardioid pattern is fixed, but the body carries three attenuation steps (0, -6, -12 dB) and three low-cut settings (linear, 80 Hz, 160 Hz) on capacitive touch controls that can be locked so nobody bumps a setting mid-session. It runs on 48 V phantom at 3.6 mA and ships with a shock mount, magnetic pop filter, foam windscreen, transport bag, and hard transport case.
