Lewitt MTP 840 DM Dynamic Vocal Microphone
The MTP 840 DM is a supercardioid handheld dynamic built for high gain before feedback and tight rejection of side and rear sound, tuned so vocals cut through a dense mix without reaching for EQ. Its standout feature is Active Mode, a phantom-powered internal amplifier that adds up to 12 dB of sensitivity for a cleaner, more detailed signal on preamps that would otherwise need extra gain.
A removable mesh head hides internal switches for 150 Hz or 250 Hz low-cut filtering, both at 12 dB per octave, for controlling structure-borne noise and proximity effect on the fly. It connects on a gold-plated 3-pin XLR and runs its Active Mode circuit on 48V phantom power at 5.5 mA.
