Gitzo G065 Monitor and Laptop Platform

Tethered shooting and field recording both create the same problem: a laptop, a client monitor or a mixer with nowhere to live but the floor or a case lid. The G065 is a flat aluminium platform, 33 by 40 cm, that screws onto a Gitzo tripod through a 3/8 inch-16 thread underneath and gives that gear a solid surface at working height.

It is a plate, not a tray, so it takes what you put on it: a 15 inch laptop, a recorder and a small mixer, a set of monitors on a copy stand. At 1.06 kg it is heavy enough to be rigid rather than springy under a hand typing on it, and it fits any Gitzo tripod rather than one series.
