Clear-Com MA-704 IFB Control Panel w/Mic Jack

The MA-704 is the master control and talent access station for Clear-Com's Encore program-interrupt system, the panel a director actually touches when cueing talent. It gives individual access to the four IFB channels routed by a PIC-4744, one momentary talk button per channel, each with a tally lamp so you can see at a glance which IFB is live. A fifth ALL button opens every talent position at once - across the MA-704 and every AX-704 expansion station linked to it. The station also carries the audio line-driver circuits for the cue audio itself.

A 1/4 in. threaded socket on the front panel takes a panel microphone (electret, with a rear-panel gain adjust and a limiter), so the director can cue straight from the desk. The station connects to the IFB router on 6-pin XLR in and extension connectors using the Switchcraft pin layout, with 1/4 in. TRS jacks for the extension bus and an external line input; it draws its power from that line at 20-30V DC. Stack AX-704 expanders behind it to reach as many as 96 IFB channels, and use the optional CEP-RK kit to rack up to three access stations in a single rack unit.
