Clear-Com PTX3 21
The PTX3-21 is a UHF wireless IFB transmitter base station from Clear-Com, tuned to frequency Block 21 (537.6 to 563.1 MHz). It broadcasts program and interrupt-feedback cues to talent wearing IFBR1B belt-pack receivers, so a director or producer can talk to on-air presenters without any cable to the talent. Across 256 selectable frequencies at 100 kHz steps within the block, an operator can find clean air even in a congested RF market.
The transmitter runs FM with switchable deviation modes for IFB and program use, and it can stand alone on a desk or rack-mount with the optional PRK-2 kit. The supplied antenna is a right-angle, quarter-wave BNC monopole of polymer-coated flexible steel. Pair it with IFBR1B-B1 receivers for a complete on-air cueing chain.
