Blackmagic Cloud Store
The Blackmagic Cloud Store 80TB is a high-capacity, high-performance network disk designed for the media loads of feature films and large post facilities. Its 80TB core is built from an array of flash memory cards working in parallel for speed and data protection, so it holds up under many simultaneous users pulling large files at once, and it is fast enough to serve 12K Blackmagic RAW. A built in Ethernet switch and simple setup mean it drops into an edit shop without a dedicated storage engineer.
Networking is the heart of it: four 10G Ethernet ports plus two 1G ports. The four 10G ports can act as a switch for four separate computers, or bond together with link aggregation for up to 40G of throughput, and up to 50 computers can connect. The flash is preconfigured as RAID 5 for redundancy, two redundant power supplies keep it running, and a USB-C ingest port automatically pulls files from a drive into the store. An HDMI output shows a live graphic view of the storage. Blackmagic part number BMD-DWCLDI/CLD080.
