Audio Technica ATM350UL Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone
The ATM350UL pairs Audio-Technica's ATM350a cardioid condenser capsule with the UniMount universal clip-on system in its "long" configuration: a flexible 9-inch AT8490L gooseneck that lets you clip the mic to the bell of a saxophone, trumpet, trombone, or similar instrument and dial in the exact pickup angle. The cardioid pattern rejects stage bleed and other instruments close by, and a switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter on the in-line power module cuts unwanted rumble.
The mic is permanently wired to a 4 m (13.1 ft) cable terminated in a Hirose HR10-type locking connector for use with Audio-Technica UniPak wireless body-pack transmitters or, for wired stage and studio work, the AT8543 remote power module (sold separately). The kit includes the AT8491U universal clip-on mount, the AT8490L gooseneck itself, an AT8468 violin mount with hook-and-loop fastener for string instruments, and a protective carrying case.
