Audio-Technica ATM450 Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone
The ATM450 uses a side-address stick design that maximizes placement options while keeping the body out of the way, useful for overheads, percussion, acoustic guitar, strings, and other instruments where a mic stand has to share space with the performer. An integral 80Hz high-pass filter switches between a flat response and a low-end roll-off, and a switchable 10dB pad lowers sensitivity for higher SPL capability when the source calls for it.
The cardioid pattern reduces pickup from the sides and rear to improve isolation, and the extended flat frequency response holds up at high SPLs as well as on quieter acoustic sources. It ships with a professional isolation clamp for secure mounting and effective dampening of mechanical noise.
