Audio-Technica ATM73ac Cardioid Condenser Headworn Microphone
The ATM73ac is the headworn cardioid condenser from Audio-Technica's ATM73a line, built around an unobtrusive headband with side-of-mouth pickup. It is aimed at the players who cannot hold a microphone: drummers who sing, keyboard players, anyone who needs the vocal captured hands-free while the rest of the stage is loud.
The cardioid pattern is what keeps the rest of that stage out. The 10 mm capsule sits on a 67 mm flexible boom off a headset 165 mm across at its widest, and the permanently attached 55 inch (1.4 m) shielded cable is supplied unterminated so it can be wired to whichever bodypack or power module the rig uses. AT8125 and AT8128 windscreens are included.
