Audio-Technica AT2035
The AT2035 steps up from the AT2020 with a larger diaphragm, lower self-noise, and two switches that make it far more flexible on loud sources. A switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter tames stage rumble and proximity boom, while a 10 dB pad lets it sit in front of guitar cabs and drums without overloading, pushing its maximum handling to 158 dB SPL. It covers 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz with the smooth, natural cardioid response Audio-Technica is known for, flattering vocals and acoustic instruments alike.
The large diaphragm and low 12 dB self-noise make it a genuine step up for quiet, detailed sources where noise floor matters. It runs on 11 to 52V phantom power over a 3-pin XLR output, so it works with a wide range of interfaces and mixers. That combination makes it a strong choice for critical home, project, and professional studio work as well as live performance, and it includes the AT8458 custom shock mount and a soft protective pouch.
