Audio-Technica AT4022
The AT4022 is a low-profile small-diaphragm omnidirectional condenser that excels on piano, acoustic guitar, and other acoustic instruments. Its flat, extended frequency response captures the natural character of a source without coloration. The omnidirectional pattern gives a spacious, open image that suits room miking and ensemble work.
Because omni capsules avoid proximity effect, it stays even and natural even when placed close. It handles up to 146 dB SPL, with a 10 dB pad extending that to 156 dB for high-output sources. It runs on phantom power over a 3-pin XLR output and slips discreetly into any acoustic recording setup.
