Audio-Technica AT4033A
The AT4033a is the modern edition of Audio-Technica's legendary AT4033, a side-address cardioid condenser that helped define affordable professional recording. Low-noise, transformerless circuitry gives it exceptional transient response and a clean, open sound. The large diaphragm and cardioid pattern make it a natural first choice for lead vocals and detailed acoustic sources.
It handles up to 145 dB SPL, with a 10 dB pad extending that to 155 dB for louder material. Low self-noise keeps quiet passages clean, which is where a good studio condenser earns its keep. It runs on 48V phantom power over a 3-pin XLR output and remains a go-to in serious project and professional studios.
