Analog Way DisplayPort 1.2 Over Fiber Extender

The EXT-DP12-OPT is a matched transmitter and receiver kit that puts an uncompressed DisplayPort 1.2 signal on a single SC multimode fiber and pulls it back 200 m (655 ft) away. Nothing is compressed and nothing is buffered, so there is no added latency between the source and the display. Bandwidth runs to 21.6 Gbps, which covers real 4K UHD at 3840x2160 or 4096x2160 at 60Hz in 4:4:4, and high frame rate work up to 2560x1440 at 144Hz 8-bit 4:4:4.

Both ends are plug and play with no software to configure, and each carries a status LED for fault finding on a dark stage. The kit handles DPCD, HDCP 2.2 and the EDID standards used to carry HDR signals, and passes up to eight embedded audio channels. Each box is about the size of a deck of cards at 81.2 x 47.5 x 21.1 mm and runs on the supplied external 5 V adaptor, or racks up eight at a time inside the OPT-DP-POWERTRAY.
