Vinten V3955 0003 Vinten's Lightweight ENG Skid Family, A Folding Three-arm

The V3955-0003 is the Small member of Vinten's lightweight ENG skid family, a folding three-arm dolly built to get a two-stage ENG tripod moving on a studio floor or a location interior. Its 125 mm castors are the largest in the range, which is what lets it ride over a cable run or a floor seam without transmitting the bump into the frame, and it takes a 50 kg weight capacity - a shouldered camera, a matte box, and a battery with margin left over.

Small here refers to the built-up footprint: a 45 cm leg radius keeps the dolly inside a tight corner or a crowded gallery where the OB and Studio skids will not fit. Fast-action foot-operated brakes lock all three wheels from standing height. Cable guards and track locks are reserved for the Studio configuration and are not fitted to this one, which keeps it light and quick to strike. It folds flat and carries by an integral handle.
