Universal Audio SD-1 Dynamic Microphone with Hemisphere Modeling

The SD-1 is UA's flagship dynamic microphone, aimed at vocals in rooms that were never meant to be studios. Being a dynamic, it rejects far more of the room than a large-diaphragm condenser does, which is usually the difference between a usable vocal at home and one that needs rescuing.

Two switches shape the capture at the source: a 200 Hz low cut and a 3 to 5 kHz articulation boost. Hemisphere mic modeling runs on a UA interface or in a DAW and reshapes the capture to match a set of classic microphones, so the same mic covers several jobs without swapping hardware.
