Universal Audio UA Bock 167 Tube Condenser Microphone
The UA Bock 167 is a large-diaphragm tube condenser designed by David Bock and hand-built at the UA Custom Shop in Santa Cruz, California. It uses a dual-symmetrical K67 capsule with a large core output transformer that extends its low-frequency response and headroom.
Directivity is continuously variable between omnidirectional, cardioid and figure-8 rather than switched in three steps, which gives more control over room sound than the U67 it takes after. It suits vocals, acoustic instruments, drums and voiceover work.
