Shure VP88 Stereo Microphone

The VP88 is a single-point MS stereo condenser microphone that captures a full stereo image from one housing, made for field production, ENG, studio recording, and broadcast. A forward-facing cardioid Mid cartridge and a bidirectional Side cartridge combine through an internal M-S matrix, giving a precise, mono-compatible stereo picture with real control over width.

Three matrix settings step the stereo separation, and the matrix can be bypassed to send raw M-S for an external decoder or post. A 40 to 20,000 Hz response with switchable 12 dB/octave rolloff below 80 Hz trims rumble and stand noise, and it runs on 48V phantom or an internal 6V battery. It ships with the 80A463 battery, a 26A14 carrying bag, a 49A91 foam windscreen, a 90B4046 swivel adapter, and a 90A4148 0.76 m Y-splitter cable.
