Shure RKC800

The RKC800 is a connector retrofit kit for Shure's SCM800 and SCM810 rack mixers. Both mixers ship from the factory with removable barrier-strip block connectors, which are ideal for hard-wired installation work but awkward when a mixer has to plug into standard studio and stage gear. The RKC800 swaps those blocks for locking 3-pin XLR connectors on the microphone inputs and outputs, turning a permanently-wired mixer into one that patches with ordinary XLR cables.

Alongside the XLR conversion, the kit replaces the mixer's auxiliary connectors with phono (RCA) jacks so consumer and line-level sources drop straight in. It is a purpose-built accessory: the parts are cut and labeled specifically for the SCM800 and SCM810 chassis, so the retrofit is a clean bolt-in rather than a wiring project.
