Shure SCM262
The SCM262 is a compact stereo microphone mixer built for small installed systems that need a couple of live mics blended against background music. It carries two active-balanced XLR microphone inputs, one of which doubles as a 1/4-inch TRS line input, plus three stereo aux inputs on RCA connectors for music sources. Outputs cover both worlds: an unbalanced RCA stereo pair for a consumer amp and a balanced mic/line pair on 1/4-inch TRS for professional gear.
Its signature trick is automatic ducking: the mixer can drop the music whenever someone speaks into a mic, then bring it back up, which is exactly what a restaurant, health club, or classroom paging setup wants. A jukebox-mute function and DIP-switch presets let an installer tailor the behavior, 12 V phantom power feeds condenser mics, and the whole thing fits a single half-rack space with an internal power supply.
