Shure SCM800
The SCM800 is Shure's full-featured eight-channel microphone mixer for sound reinforcement, recording, and audio-visual systems. Each channel takes any low-impedance balanced dynamic or condenser mic, including a wireless system, and can be switched between microphone and line level, with switchable 48V phantom power at every input. A two-band equalizer on each channel shapes the sound, and a 1/4-inch send/receive insert jack per channel opens the signal path for outboard processing.
Up to four SCM800 units link together for as many as 32 input channels, so a small mixer scales into a large conference or houses-of-worship system without changing gear. A peak-responding output limiter guards against overload, and a rack-panel adapter (Model RKC800, sold separately) converts the removable block connectors to XLR inputs and outputs with phono jacks on the aux bus.
