RCF HDL 28-A Active Two-Way Line Array Module
The HDL 28-A is the mid-size HDL module, aimed squarely at vocal intelligibility in rooms that are too large for the 26 and too small to justify the 30. Two 8-inch neodymium woofers and a 1.4-inch exit titanium compression driver on a 3-inch voice coil are driven by a 2200 W Class-D amplifier, producing 135 dB at one meter with a 50 Hz to 20 kHz response. The 4PATH waveguide sits between coplanar woofers on a symmetrical baffle, which is what keeps the 100 degree horizontal pattern identical left and right.
The PP composite cabinet weighs 45.42 lbs, so a rigger can hang up to 20 modules from a single flybar. Angles are reconfigurable on the ground and slip into place as the array goes up, allowing J-shaped and spiral hangs. RDNet is on board over Ethercon for monitoring, EQ, delay, and crossover presets, and a rain cover is available for outdoor work. The HDL 36-AS is the matching flyable bass cabinet. Available in black or white.
