RCF HDL 30-A Active Two-Way Line Array Module
The HDL 30-A is the module that established RCF's composite-cabinet line array, and it remains the workhorse for medium to large events. Two 10-inch neodymium woofers and a 1.4-inch exit titanium compression driver on a 4-inch voice coil run from a 2200 W Class-D amplifier, delivering 137 dB at one meter across 50 Hz to 20 kHz. The crossover sits at 680 Hz and the pattern is 100 degrees horizontal by 15 degrees vertical.
Weight is the reason this cabinet gets specified: 55.12 lbs for that output means smaller motors, fewer hands, and faster load-ins. The rigging is fast and reconfigurable, angles set on the ground, and RDNet over Ethercon handles monitoring and DSP for the whole hang from one laptop. FiRPHASE filtering keeps phase coherent through the crossover so the array images properly from the front row to the back. The HDL 38-AS is its flyable 18-inch bass complement. Available in black or white.
