RCF HL 2290 Horn Loaded Two-Way Array, 90 x 23 Degrees
The HL 2290 is the wide-coverage HL 2200, built for near and mid field positions where the audience spreads out rather than back. Two 12-inch woofers on 3.5-inch voice coils and a 1.4-inch neodymium compression driver on a 4-inch voice coil cross at 600 Hz, deliver 141 dB at one meter, and cover 90 by 23 degrees with constant directivity.
Like the rest of the family it is IP 55 rated with Amphenol eco/mat IP 67 connectors, so a fixed outdoor install does not need a shelter. It works as a stand-alone point source or clustered with the narrower 2240 and 2260 to build a coverage pattern that matches the seating. Recommended amplifiers are the XPS 16K, XPS 16KD, QPS 10K, QPS 6.0K, IPS 5.0K and IPS 2.5K.
