Panasonic Lumix FZ80D Bridge Camera with 20-1200mm Zoom
The Lumix FZ80D is a bridge camera built around reach. The fixed lens runs 3.58mm to 215mm, which is 20mm to 1200mm in 35mm equivalent terms, a 60x optical zoom that covers a wide interior and a distant subject without a lens change. Behind it is a 1/2.3-inch MOS sensor of 18.1 effective megapixels with a primary colour filter.
An optical image stabiliser is essential at the long end and is built in, and the shutter combines electronic and mechanical operation. Exposure covers program, aperture priority, shutter priority and manual with plus or minus 5 EV of compensation in 1/3 EV steps, and metering offers multiple, centre-weighted and spot. The monitor is a 3.0-inch 1,840,000-dot touchscreen, and a pop-up flash and stereo microphones are built in.
