Panasonic Lumix G9II Micro Four Thirds Mirrorless Camera
The Lumix G9II is the stills-led Micro Four Thirds body in the range, built on a 25.21 effective megapixel Live MOS sensor measuring 17.3 x 13.0mm. Like the S5II it uses a phase-detection and contrast hybrid AF system rather than contrast-only DFD, which is what makes it usable for wildlife and sport where the subject is moving toward the camera.
Video recording covers MOV in H.264, H.265 and Apple ProRes, plus MP4 in H.264 and H.265, so a job can be cut natively without a transcode step. Still aspect ratios are 4:3, 3:2, 16:9 and 1:1. Wi-Fi is dual-band with WPA3 security and Bluetooth is 5.0 LE for phone pairing and geotagging. Body-only and 12-60mm F2.8-4.0 kit configurations are listed.
