The Galil 6-CO shares the 6-C's 6.5-inch polypropylene woofer and 0.5-inch Mylar dome tweeter but drops the sealed back-can, using the ceiling plenum itself as the enclosure's rear volume. That trades a small amount of enclosure control for a lower installed cost and a shallower back-box, which suits open-plenum ceilings where an airtight can is not required.

The same multi-tap power transformer applies: 8-ohm direct operation or 70V/100V constant-voltage taps, keeping it compatible with either a dedicated amplifier zone or a shared paging distribution line.
