The Galil 8-C is a closed-back ceiling speaker with an 8 inch polypropylene woofer and a 1 inch silk dome tweeter mounted coaxially, so the whole 110 degree pattern arrives from one point in the ceiling. The metal back can means it can go into a plenum without leaking sound into the space above, and it is UL 1480 and UL 2043 listed for that use.

A multi-tap transformer selects 70V taps at 64W down to 4W, 100V taps at 64W down to 8W, or bypasses the transformer entirely for an 8 ohm low-impedance run. That covers a paged distributed line in a restaurant and a short amplifier run in a boardroom with the same part number. It ships as a pair with the ceiling mounting kit, cutout template, and manual; cutout diameter is 27.3cm and it needs 22.6cm of mounting depth.
