The EX80 is the top of the EX line, running USB4 at 80Gbps on an NVMe drive built for sustained high-intensity writes. On a modern host that is roughly twice the ceiling of a 40Gb enclosure, which shows up directly in offload time on a big card set.

It also carries location tracking, so a drive left in a hire van or a hotel room can be found rather than written off, which on a shoot is worth more than the drive.
