Glyph Blackbox PRO RAID Desktop Drive

The Blackbox PRO RAID is a two-drive hardware RAID, which matters because the array is handled in the enclosure rather than by the host. There is no software RAID driver to install, nothing to break on an OS update, and the volume mounts the same way on any machine.

It supports RAID 0 for speed, RAID 1 for redundancy, plus JBOD and SPAN, using 7,200 RPM enterprise-class disks reaching up to 550 MB/s. The port is USB-C at 10Gb. An optional ingest hub adds onboard CFast 2.0 and SD UHS-II card readers and a 10Gb USB-A port for an SSD or for charging. The aluminium shell heatsinks the mechanisms, it ships formatted for macOS and Time Machine ready, and it carries the Glyph 3-2-1 warranty.
