The Blackbox is the plain, dependable end of the Glyph range: a 2.5 inch hard drive in a sleek aluminium enclosure that draws its power from the same USB port that carries the data, so there is no brick to lose and nothing to plug into a wall on location.

The metal shell doubles as a heatsink, which keeps the mechanism cool and quiet under a long transfer. It connects over USB 3.0 and stays backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices, and it arrives formatted for macOS and ready for Time Machine; a reformat is all Windows needs. Glyph covers it with the 3-2-1 warranty: three years of hardware including the cables, two years of Level-1 data recovery and one year of advance replacement.
