Focusrite ISA 828 MkII Eight-Channel Microphone Preamp
ISA 828 MkII is the eight-channel ISA preamp, and every one of those eight inputs carries its own Lundahl LL1538 transformer rather than sharing a pair. That matters when the box is used the way it usually is, as the front end for a drum kit or a string section, where all eight channels have to sound like the same preamp.
Gain is 0 to 60 dB with a further 20 dB of continuous trim, and input impedance switches between 600 ohms, the 1400 ohm ISA 110 setting, 2400 ohms and 6800 ohms. Phantom power is switchable per channel, and a 75 Hz filter at 18 dB per octave sits on each input. Eight XLR mic inputs and eight 1/4 inch line inputs are on the rear with DB-25 for line outputs and inserts; the ISA ADN8 card adds Dante, ADAT and AES3 out to 24-bit / 192 kHz.
