Focusrite ISA Two Dual-Channel Transformer Microphone Preamp
ISA Two puts two fully independent channels of the ISA microphone preamplifier into a single rack space. Each channel runs the Lundahl LL1538 input transformer that gave the original ISA 110 module its weight in the low mids, in front of solid-state gain electronics, so the tone is the classic one and the noise floor is modern.
Gain is set in 10 dB steps from 0 to 60 dB with a continuously variable 0 to 20 dB trim on top, giving 80 dB in total and a repeatable setting you can write down. Four selectable input impedances change how the transformer loads a microphone, which is a real tonal control rather than a trim. Instrument inputs sit on the front panel, line inputs and balanced insert points on the rear.
