Blackmagic Cloud Backup 8

Blackmagic Cloud Backup 8 is an eight bay unit that copies camera media onto local disks and up to cloud storage from the same enclosure, which is the job a DIT normally does with a laptop and a stack of cables. It runs the copies itself, so the backup keeps going while the shoot does.

The eight bays take standard drives and the unit connects over Ethernet, with an LCD showing job progress per bay. Because it syncs to Blackmagic Cloud as well as to local media, footage can be on its way to the edit before the cards leave set.
