Audio-Technica ES947C Cardioid Boundary Microphone
The ES947C is a low-profile cardioid condenser boundary microphone that mounts flush into a tabletop, ceiling, or panel for conferencing, recording, and monitoring. Its cardioid pattern gives a 120° acceptance angle that favors talkers in front while rejecting off-axis room noise, and its all-metal case with a self-contained power module ships with rubber isolators to damp vibration from the mounting surface; UniGuard RFI-shielding technology keeps it quiet near phones and other RF sources.
Four output/control versions cover different installs: XLR is a standard 3-pin XLR output with IPX4 water resistance for splash protection; TB3 is an ultra-compact terminal-block version sized for tight tabletop, ceiling, or wall mounts; FM3 adds a two-state RGB LED ring (7 colors, plus off) and a touch-sensitive switch for local mute over a 3-pin XLR; and FM5 is the same LED/switch package on a 5-pin XLR, with the switch configurable to toggle mute or trigger an external device like a camera. XLR and TB3 are available in black or white.
