Audio-Technica MT830c Omnidirectional Condenser Lavalier Microphone
The MT830c is the omnidirectional condenser lavalier Audio-Technica builds for lecturers, stage and television performers and singers. At 15.8 mm long and 5 mm thick it can be worn openly as a lavalier or concealed in loose clothing or in the hair, and the omni pattern means it keeps working when the wearer turns away from it.
Its wide-range 30-20,000 Hz response is what separates it from a speech-only capsule: it reproduces a singing voice cleanly, not just an intelligible one. The permanently attached cable is a long 7.6 m (25 foot) run ending in a TA3F connector at the supplied AT8538 power module, which presents a 3-pin XLRM output and runs on 11-52V phantom power. An AT8420 clothing clip and AT8130 windscreens are included.
