Cablecast CBL-LIVE-800 - Live Streaming Video Server
The Cablecast CBL-LIVE-800 is a single-channel live streaming server that encodes an incoming feed to H.264 and delivers it as an HLS adaptive bit-rate stream, so viewers on different connections each get a rendition their bandwidth can handle. It is built into Cablecast's user interface and public web interface, which means a PEG or municipal channel can put a live meeting or event online through the same system that runs its scheduled playout, rather than a separate encoder appliance.
The stream is controlled from within Cablecast and can be disabled on a per-show basis, so a station can keep certain sessions off the internet feed. Output resolution scales up to 1080p. The unit is a 1 RU chassis; rack ears are included, and it does not use or require rack rails. It ships with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise, supported through June 2034, and includes a 3-year hardware warranty and system commissioning.
