Teradek Prism 802 Base Rack System 2U

The Teradek Prism 802 is the high-density 2RU base chassis in the Prism Rack line, built for mission-critical IP video deployments that need more channels than a 1RU 801 can hold. It supports up to nine Prism encoder and decoder cards in any combination, so a single chassis can carry a full mix of 4K encode and decode paths for a control room or master control operation.

A hot-swappable 495-watt power supply feeds up to 15W to each installed card, with an additional power supply slot available for optional redundant power - a real consideration when the chassis is running a full load of channels for a live broadcast. Two 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet ports carry streaming and configuration traffic, and the system supports 4K/UHD encoding and decoding up to 60fps with HEVC/H.264 compression, 10-bit 4:2:2 image quality, and 8 channels of audio per card. Encoder and decoder cards are sold separately.
