Teradek Prism 853 4K 10bit HEVC/AVC 12G-SDI Encoder Card
The Teradek Prism 853 is a blade encoder card for the Prism 801 (1RU) and 802 (2RU) rack chassis, adding a single 12G-SDI encode channel to a high-density IP video deployment. It takes a 12G-SDI input at up to 4Kp60 and encodes it in 10-bit 4:2:2 with HEVC (H.265) or AVC (H.264) compression, streaming RTMP/RTMPS, MPEG-TS, or SRT to Prism, Cube, Slice, Core, and T-Rax decoders on the receiving end.
Two channels of embedded audio ride along with AAC-LC compression, so program audio stays in sync without a separate path. As a card-based design, the 853 lets a control room or truck build out exactly the encode capacity it needs, mixing encoder and decoder cards in the same 801 or 802 chassis rather than dedicating a whole box to one direction of video.
