Sony ECM-X7BMP Unidirectional Lavalier Microphone
The ECM-X7BMP is the unidirectional counterpart to Sony's ECM-V1BMP. The directional capsule trades the omni's tolerance of head movement for rejection of everything behind it, which is the right choice on a noisy trade-show floor, a loud house of worship or any room where the audience is closer than the ceiling.
Response runs 100 Hz to 15 kHz, focused on speech rather than music, with 88 dB of dynamic range and 120 dB SPL maximum input. It terminates in Sony's BMP-type 3.5 mm three-pole mini plug for UWP and UWP-D bodypacks, drawing 5 V DC at 0.2 mA. A urethane windscreen and a horizontal tie clip are supplied.
