Sony CU-C31 Cardioid Condenser Capsule for DWM-02N and DWM-30

The CU-C31 is the condenser capsule in Sony's set of three heads for the DWM-02N and DWM-30 handheld transmitters. A condenser element resolves more detail and extends further at the top than a dynamic, so this is the head to fit when the handheld is a presenter's or a lead vocalist's microphone and the stage is under control.

The pattern is cardioid, rejecting the back of the mic where a wedge or a nearfield monitor usually is. It threads onto the DWX handheld body in place of any other Sony or compatible third-party capsule, so a venue can keep one set of transmitters and change the sound per event.
