sE Electronics sE8 Small-Diaphragm True Condenser Microphone

The sE8 is the true condenser step above the sE7: a hand-crafted 1/2 inch capsule with 13 dB self-noise, 81 dB signal-to-noise and a 159 dB SPL ceiling with both pads engaged. It is the mic sE puts in its own drum packs, and it earns that on overheads, hi-hat, acoustic guitar and room.

Switchable 10 and 20 dB attenuation and an 80 or 160 Hz low-cut sit on the 23 mm body. The capsule unscrews, so a cardioid mic can be converted to omni with the separately available capsule. Each mic ships with a clip, thread adapter and windscreen; the matched pair is factory-paired.
