Rode NT1 5th Generation Condenser Microphone
The NT1 5th Generation, in this silver finish, is a large-diaphragm cardioid studio condenser built around the HF6 one-inch capsule that gives the mic its warm, detailed character. It is one of the quietest studio microphones made, with just 4 dBA of self-noise, so it captures a soft vocal or an acoustic guitar with the source and nothing else. Internal shock mounting of the capsule keeps stand rumble out of the signal.
Its defining feature is the patent-pending Dual Connect output: a 3-pin XLR feeds a traditional preamp and interface, while a USB-C port turns it into a class-compliant audio interface with onboard 32-bit float recording, so a take can never clip. It ships with a studio-grade shock mount, a pop filter, and both XLR and USB cables to record straight out of the box.
