PreSonus Quantum HD USB-C Audio Interface
Quantum HD is the interface for a project studio that tracks more than one source at a time. Both models run PreSonus' MAX-HD microphone preamps with 75 dB of gain, and both add two re-amp outputs, which send a recorded DI track back out to a guitar or bass amp so it can be re-miked with different pedals, cabinets, and placements without replaying the part.
The HD 2 carries two preamps and two instrument inputs, developed with Fender engineers; the HD 8 carries eight preamps and instrument inputs for tracking a full band. An Auto Gain button sets levels on every channel, and an illuminated push encoder handles gain and output volume from one control. LED metering gives visual confirmation of levels, which matters when the person recording is also the person performing.
